The end of Jan, we closed on my mom's house in CT. For the final haul we spent almost a week down in CT (although much of Jan really in all..) Moira and I with Sue and Dee (and Bella!) made the trip down to CT and much thanks to Mrs. Beckman and my in-laws for helping to the baby. "The boys" arrived that weekend to help load up 3 moving trucks. It was quite the intense experience packing up 28 years in a week (even though we had gone through so much already, it was no where close to what was left!) There was no way we could have done it without all our friends and family who helped us out that week. Closing was emotional but went well and the house is going to a couple who say they plan to spend quite awhile in the house and start a family. Lots of tears were shed, lots of laughs shared but also a sense of closure. Good ole 69 High Rock Rd will hopefully be home to the start of a new family, which I think mom would have really liked to know it was starting over with another young couple like dad and her once moved in with three little girls.
A couple weeks later, Moira got baptized on Feb 12, 2012. It was a great day! Granted it was one of the coldest days of this very mild winter and a threat of snow the night before but it all turned out well! Aunt Sue and Aunt Missa are Moira's 2 Godmother's! We had just our close family over to celebrate and it was just a really nice day! Moira wore the Murphy/Anderson Baptism gown worn first by my mother and all her siblings, my sisters and I and several of my cousins.
Moira has since advanced on all of her foods! She's eating all veggies, fruits and even meats now! She LOVES the food! Yogurt is up next! She's also left her 10pm bottle behind and now sleeps from 7:00 to 7!
We've been working on Moira rolling.... she really has had no interest in it! She's sitting independently like a pro and is just so content laying on her back- who needs rolling??? She has never liked tummy time, and she still does not! After holding rolling boot-camp around here for the past 2 weeks since we went to her 6 month check up, Moira is finally rolling stomach to back as of today! All the sudden I put her on her tummy and she's won't stay there. We're really excited about that! Other then that, she's quite vocal these days, going crazy in the exersaucer jumping like a madwoman and reaching for anything in her sight! She also had her first place ride to Dallas TX to visit some friends and overall, she did pretty well. She had her first trip to an aquarium and her first experience on a swing at the park. I'm still doing a mommy and baby fitness class with her and in April we start a music class. She's still a very easy going and happy girl.
