I finally cleaned out Moira's sock drawer with all the little baby socks... it was sooooo weird and sad looking at all the teeny tiny little newborn socks realizing that Moira once fit those and how quickly she is growing but was hit with a sudden pang of excitement that a new little one will soon be in them- well if it's a girl :) Part of me is really dying for another girl because I just love all things girly plus I'm not sure I would know what the heck to do with a boy!?!?! We'll see!
The nausea has subsided for the most part, not completely, but almost! THANK GOD! I really was starting to lose my cool about it... It's so nice to feel like myself and feel good with some more energy again. Of course, this is somewhat making me very antsy for good weather so we can get out and do things. It's that time of year where I ask myself every day why the heck we live in New England?? I really could not tell you the answer to that- but yet here we are. Bella apparently has also been doing a lot of laying around too as we realized she's gained 3kg since September! Lack of regular walks and playing outside (swimming at Weir hill) on top of Moira constantly feeding her has made her quite the fatty. I think she'll be excited for the nice weather to return too. Unfortunately, we have a lot more winter to get through with a blizzard coming tomorrow and all :( Not looking forward to being snowed in with the chance of losing power and 2 ft of snow, oh and no wine by the fire......
In other news, I started a new job this past week as a nurse practitioner at Children's on the GI service. So far so good! It's 2 days a week and I'll be on orientation for 4-6 weeks. I'm excited about this new step in my career!
Moira is doing great although temper tantrums are kicking in quite a bit. She recently learned the word cookie but says "cook- a"... it's pretty cute but the constant demand at the cabinet for a "cook-a" is not! Nor are the tears when you say not right now. Otherwise, she's living the life going to her music class, playgroup, and other little activities they have around town. I think she's going to really love the playground once we can go again!
Since I left the blog last winter, my group of Villanova girlfriends have welcomed 2 more babies to the crew! Little Mr. Hayden Donnelly and the newest born yesterday- Madison McCullough. The count is 3 girls, 1 boy and 2 more will be added this summer/fall. We've got quite the start to the future of Villanova going!
That's about it from the Dube household until the big day next week! We'll be sure to keep everyone posted then! I'll leave you with a few pics! Stay safe in the storm for those on the East coast!
16 weeks, 4 days
Not too much to show for yet, but there is a little something under there
