We are very excited to announce that Moira will have a little SISTER!!! We are thrilled to have a another girl! Not to mention, it does make life a lot easier given same sex, same season! ;)
We went for the big ultrasound on Feb 14th and had them write it down on one of Moira's little princess valentines. She sealed it up in an envelope and the plan was to wait until dinner that night to open it. But...... we couldn't wait the WHOLE day (obviously)!!!! The US was at 7am! So when we got to the car, we opened it up! I was shocked since, initially during the US I really thought girl but then when she was trying to make sure of the sex I thought I saw something and that it was a boy! Needless to say when I read girl I was shocked!
Everything on the US looked great and the baby is growing right on target! The other good news is that I have finally left the morning, noon and night sickness behind and can finally eat!!! It feels good to feel good again and have an appetite! The thought of veggies still turns me off though. The bump really started to show last week into this week. Suddenly, I went to get dressed for work one morning and had quite the time figuring out pants to wear. Last time around, I wore scrubs to work everyday so I only have casual maternity wear. So, I just went and stocked up on some clothes for work and just like last time, feel like it's highway robbery! Not to mention, I now have more in-season stylish clothes then my own regular wardrobe! Kills me! The good news that I was able to hold off this long and avoid getting "winter" season clothes and then also needing spring/summer in a few weeks.
I also started feeling movement about 1-2 weeks ago which I've been waiting for since about week 15 since I know your supposed to recognize the movement sooner the 2nd time around. It's still not super frequent or strong yet but def there! Between starting to show, feeling better and feeling the movement- I can finally start enjoy this pregnancy a bit!
The name brainstorming has begun but like the first time around, we are not going to announce the name until she arrives. We also have started to think about ordering a crib for this little one! First, we have to work on emptying out our spare room... Our house is quickly closing in on us by kid everything :)
In other exciting news, Moira and Baby Dube #2 are going to have a cousin and Mike and I are going to be an Aunt and Uncle for the first time! Mike's sister, Missa and her wife Trisha are expecting and due 6 weeks after #2! (August 31st) We're very excited that they will be so close in age- should be a lot fun!
That's it for all the excitement here, til next time!
