I had my glucose test last Friday morning, always a fun appointment! I'm still waiting for the results this week so hopefully it's all good. I also had a whopping 9lbs weight gain between my last appt and that one (about 1 month)- slight panic set in! I did just come back from vacation in Florida, so I'm chalking it up to that! It was just a little shocking since I never had such a leap in weight with Moira but trying not to stress too much about it. Otherwise, the appt went well. Movement is in full swing now, during all times of the day and much more "feel-able" from the outside. Feeling the baby is one of the best parts of being pregnant!
I have officially "popped" to the point where one of the doctors at work was like "whoa, you have a belly now! Are you having twins? You didn't have that belly 2 weeks ago when I saw you!" No, no twins here- sorry! But am 24 weeks now, so somethings gotta start showing!
Moira and I went with Sue to visit Nani in Florida. We had a great time but def exhausting with a toddler in tow. It makes it all worth it though with everything that was so new and exciting to her! Even just seeing the pelicans and fish jumping out of the intracoastal were a big deal! We also went to Lion Country Safari where you drive in your car through animals on the loose. She loved the zebras and monkeys and flamingos, she even got to feed a giraffe. She amazes us everyday with all her animal sounds and new words- she's just a sponge! She also had a great time in the pool and once she got used to the sand, she liked running around the beach chasing the birds. It was great for her to spend time with Nan, who enjoyed having her around too!
We had a nice quiet Easter yesterday, which I didn't mind since I can't remember the last Easter I didn't have to work! Moira loved looking through her Easter basket and dying eggs. She got her first tastes of candy- a milky way from the neighborhood egg hunt and a peep- both were a big hit! It was beautiful weather and we finally got to get outside for a walk to enjoy it. We're ready for the warm weather now!
The next appt for me is in 1 month, then we switch to every two weeks. I'm just a week away from the end of the 2nd trimester- I canNOT even believe that!!!!! Mike and I have some serious preparations to do around here!!!!! And need to pick a name!
