Since I last updated, I got my glucose results- passed with flying colors with a glucose of 72! Then a little over a week ago, I had my monthly check up- this time only 4 lb weight gain! I swear though, I'm reeeeeally not splurging THAT much! (not like I'm eating ice cream every night or bags of chips!) Of course some weight gain I know has to happen, but it seems there's no control of it this time! Granted.... I have not been able to exercise like I did with Moira. Walks are a little more difficult with a toddler who wants to run around, not sit in a stroller. I've been trying to make it to prenatal yoga/fitness which has only been happening about every other week due to getting home in time, Mike getting home in time, etc... I def do not feel in as good of shape as last time, I just get winded so much more easily but I'm trying to get moving when I can.
I also got my Rhogam at my last appointment. Since I'm A- blood, I need it with each pregnancy to protect future pregnancies/babies. I'll get it again after I deliver. We're now onto every 2 week visits so I go again next week, just for weight checks and blood pressure checks.
Spring is in full swing here, MAJOR cleaning out/throwing out is going on in these parts. Call it nesting, call it spring cleaning, call it making room for another human in this house - either way I'm on a organizing mission! From closets, to the basement, to the garage- nothing is safe! We started cleaning out the spare room and the furniture is being picked up next week for donation. Painting will be under way mid-may. Our plan is to move Moira into that room since it's a bit bigger and keep her current room as the nursery using the same nursery bedding with a few new things for the baby. Hopefully, Moira will be ready to move into her new room shortly after painting so we can get her used to it for a few weeks before baby comes.
The name has still not been decided! We're working on it and I think we're alllllmost there! Moira knows the baby as, "Mommy's baby" and points to my belly. It's very cute- but clearly she has NO idea what that really means or how her life is about to change. But we're trying to talk about "her little sister" and how she'll be a great "big sister", etc.. etc... She's great with her baby dolls- feeding them, burping them, rocking them, tucking them... so I think she'll be ok! (I hope!)
