Moira and I are part of playgroup and starting next week we're doing a music class every week! I know, I know... it's young, but I still think it's great to expose her to the sound and movement early, for development later on. She really likes being held, which it's nice to know she is comforted by Mike and I but it makes it a little difficult to get things done around here. She still loves her bath time, no matter how crabby she might be right before, she cracks up and kicks like crazy once she's in! She is kiiiiinda starting to roll... we're trying to work on it! She's into grabbing everything and loves a rattle! She was a whooping 13lbs, 6oz at the docs on 12/21. They were happy with her growth!
Mike ran a 5K back in December, that Paul also ran as well. Moira and I went to cheer Daddy on in his race! Which also included mommy and Aunt Sue enjoying mimosa's inside in the warmth, while the boys ran in freezing cold! :)
The holidays were, well.... in one way- the best they could be given the circumstances and on the other hand a wonderful first Christmas for Moira! The girls and I fared pretty well given it being the first year without our mom, and I think Moira was a blessing for this. I think she helped us focus on the future and the next generation of children to make the holiday magical for (even though she's still a bit young this year!). Maybe she was sent to us just in time to help distract us and have something wonderful and happy to focus on! And little Miss Moira... well Santa and his elves were pretttttty good to her! She was quite spoiled by her Aunts, Uncle and Memere and Pepere! Mike and I were also very happy to host our very first holiday at our house... something we've talked about and looked forward to for a long time!!!! It was a lot of work, but very exciting!
New Years, I was supposed to work New Years Day (but got off because of empty beds) so we went over to our friends The Repkos for the afternoon/evening and were home somewhat early so I could be in bed, ready to work! Not to mention, with a baby now it's a bit hard to party!
Lastly, other big news in these parts... She started oatmeal 2 days ago. She's loving it! She hasn't totally figured out how to swallow it, but she was wants to! She sucks on that spoon like the kids been starved for days! Pretty great! It's just amazing how fast time is flying by (I can't believe my little baby is already eating food! haha!), but we are trying to savor every wonderful, giggly moment!!!
Here are some pics from the past couple months!

We hope everyone has a happy and healthy new year! In once sense, 2011 blessed us beyond what we could have hoped for with the addition of Moira but it also has been an extremely difficult year. We hope 2012 has lots of great things in store for us, our family and our friends! Maybe my resolution should be to try to be better about updating!! :)
