The arrival... of the Due Date that is....

Well August 6th has arrived, but the Baby has not.... Well not yet anyway.  There has been some action around here though.  Starting on Monday, I started having contractions for a span of time and then they would go away.  Tuesday night again for a few hours- same thing.  Then last night there was lots of action and pressure and then early early this AM I was having them pretty regularly for about an hour and a half, and then it stopped.  This morning I thought maybe "this was it!" but it was just a fake out!

I had my appointment on Wed which he said I was now 1.5 dilated and 80%.  I was a little disappointed it was minimal change from the week before but he seemed happy.  He said it still could happen at any time but we did make a plan for if I go through the weekend.  I won't get into that unless it gets there, but either way the baby will be here by the end of next week.

I did not end up working on Tues/Wed this week due to the contractions and not being sure if it was heading somewhere or not... so I've just been finishing up some things here and there with some relaxing too.  I've been trying to keep busy with last minute errands, staying on top of keeping things cleaned up around here, treated myself to a prenatal massage (which was marvelous!) and then last night we had a Yankees/Red Sox game with our group.  Disappointing loss, but fun night out!  Of course I have been doing lots of walking, today we went on a 3 mile walk up the street to the next neighborhood over (I returned with some major sausage fingers!)  Tried the Mexican food earlier in the week too.  It all comes down to when she is ready to move out... not when we want her to... so we are just trying to be as patient as we can... (easier said then done!)

Lastly, to clarify, Baby Dube's name has not been announced to anyone for those who were wondering if we had a name.  We do have a name picked out, but only the lady at Pottery Barn kids knows it since she had to get me the letters for the wall (which have yet to be put up as to not give any sneak peeks to anyone!)  We were able to keep it a secret the whole time!!  Not even initials!  but we are getting excited to finally be able to spill the beans and make the big announcement!!  Soon enough!!  :)
